The 14th exhibition of the project ‘Reuse: A Social Sharing Project to Foster Ecological Awareness’, organised on behalf of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences at Social Sciences University of Ankara, opened on 2 November 2026 in the rear garden of Block L.
SSUA's administrative and academic staff, as well as a large number of students, attended the exhibition opening. At the exhibition, our Rector, Prof. Dr Musa Kazım Arıcan; the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, Prof. Dr Bilal Çakıcı; and the project coordinator, Prof. Dr Nagihan Gür Çalışır, each delivered a speech emphasising the project's importance in fostering social sharing and ecological awareness. Our Rector, Prof. Dr Musa Kazım Arıcan, drew attention to the place of the spirit of social sharing within our traditional culture, emphasising that a culture of reuse is an important legacy we will leave for future generations. The Dean of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, Prof. Dr Bilal Çakıcı, emphasised the importance of transforming this initiative into a larger organisation through different forms of collaboration. Prof. Dr Nagihan Gür Çalışır highlighted that they have consistently continued the “Reuse” exhibition, which began with a single table in 2017, for nine years, and emphasised that the use of second-hand items has become a culture at our University.
All SSUA staff and students were able to make use of the “Reuse” exhibition, which remained open throughout the day, free of charge.
