The Digital Ankyra Project is an initiative aimed at making the Roman Ankara accessible through a long-term mapping process. Launched in 2021, the project continues its efforts to render the architectural heritage of Roman Ankara—fading within the modern urban fabric—more visible, to draw attention to the city's Roman-era urban structure, and to contribute to preservation policies. The project began with the Temple of Rome and Augustus and was later expanded to include other significant structures such as the Belkıs (Iulianus?) Column and the Roman street. As new findings are incorporated into the map, the project will continue to be dynamically updated. Additionally, the project presents the Res Gestae Divi Augusti, one of the most significant inscriptions in Ancient History, along with its translations in Turkish, English, and Ottoman Turkish, the latter prepared by Giovanni Leonardi.
