As part of the HIST360 History and Culture of Ankara course, a field trip was organized to the archaeopark area reflecting the multi-layeredness of Ankara. The remains of the Ottoman period bath structure, debbağ workshops and road routes were examined. The theater building, which is an important symbol of Ankara's Roman cultural life, was visited and discussed in the context of the spatial organization of the city within the scope of the course.

ASBU Department of Turkish Language and Literature will start accepting students with a 30% English curriculum as of the 2023-2024 academic year. With this decision, which is part of the internationalization mission of our university and the Department of Turkish Language and Literature, our students will have the opportunity to have a bilingual education and thus complete their university education with Turkish and English content both in their own fields and in different disciplines.
Prof. Dr. Şebnem Köşer Akçapar's new book chapter "Mixed Migration Flows into Turkey and the Impact of the Pandemic: Revisiting Social Exclusion and Persisting Inequalities" has been published in The Palgrave Handbook of Global Social Problems.
During the event held with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zehra Sema Demir, the young writers learned the importance and history of the museum in detail.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zehra Sema Demir's proficiency in history and archaeology provided great guidance to the young writers throughout the trip. In particular, her narration on the Orthostat of the Wall of Messengers, which is the subject of the Epic of Gilgamesh, enabled the young writers to gain a more comprehensive perspective on the history of humanity.
ASBU Young Writers Community organized an Editorial and Proofreading Training Seminar at the end of the Editorial and Proofreading Education Seminar.
Editorial and Proofreading Training Seminars took place on 06.06.23 in Sümerbank Chamber.
The seminar started with the opening speech of their supervisor Prof. Dr. Münire Kevser Baş. Publication editors from Bilgi Sarmal Publications and teachers from the Board of Education gave speeches and then answered their questions.
Tahsin Emre Acar, ASBU Turkish Language, and Literature double major student, received the "Russian Government Scholarship". Under the scholarship, Acar will study for a master's degree in "Oriental and African Studies" in Russia in the 2023-2024 academic year. We congratulate him and wish him continued success.
Faculty Member from the Department of Anthropology, Asst. Prof. Emine Sökmen Adalı's two articles;
"Ankyra Rome and the Temple of Augustus in the Political Landscape as an Imperial Image" in the Journal of Spatial Planning and Design and also ''Ankara Augustus Temple in Late Ottoman Period Official Correspondence'' was published in the Journal of Archaeology and Art.
