The Digital Ankyra Project is an initiative aimed at making the Roman Ankara accessible through a long-term mapping process. Launched in 2021, the project continues its efforts to render the architectural heritage of Roman Ankara—fading within the modern urban fabric—more visible, to draw attention to the city's Roman-era urban structure, and to contribute to preservation policies. The project began with the Temple of Rome and Augustus and was later expanded to include other significant structures such as the Belkıs (Iulianus?) Column and the Roman street.

On February 24, 2025, a meeting was held with Quality Ambassadors and Deputy Heads of Departments under the chairmanship of Dean of our Faculty Prof. Dr. Münire Kevser Baş to evaluate the Institutional Monitoring Report of the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK).

Assistant Professor Emine Sökmen Adalı, Department of Anthropology of our faculty, participated in the conference titled "Urban Dynamics in Roman Anatolia: Investigating the emergence and development of the Roman City in North-Central Anatolia" held at Middle East Technical University on 21-22 February 2025 with her talk titled "Who built the Dam? Roman Hydraulic Engineering and the Örükaya Dam in North-Central Anatolia" and shared her studies on the Örükaya Roman Dam within the scope of her research project.

The 4th issue of ASA Journal, which has been published twice a year (June-December) by our faculty starting from 2023, was published last month. With this issue, the DOI application made by the ASA Journal has been accepted and we are pleased to announce that the articles published as of June 2025 will be given a DOI number.

Every year, the publications and activities of our academic staff are evaluated by the Academic Award Commission of our University, and the academics who are in the top three in each category are awarded. This year's academic award ceremony was held on 20 February 2025, 6 faculty members from our faculty received awards and 2 faculty members were given certificates of appreciation.

As part of the ASBU Department of Turkish Language and Literature Seminars, Dr Doğan Kaya presented a seminar titled "Tevriye in Turkish Culture". In the seminar moderated by Prof. Dr. Faruk Gün, Dr. Doğan Kaya explained the art of tevriye in Aşık ( poetry).

Assoc. Prof. Evrim Türkçelik who is a faculty member of ASBU Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Department of History, has been selected as a "Fernand Braudel Senior Fellow" (2024-2025) in the field of history by the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence. The Fernand Braudel Senior Fellow Fellowship gives the opportunity to experienced academics in the field of social sciences to conduct research at the EUI for a certain period of time.
