Prof. Dr. Şebnem Köşer Akçapar's new article has been published in Cracow Journal of Indological Studies. Written by a team of experts from the Netherlands, India and the UK, the article deals with the 8th and 9th century Qur'an copies found in India. Through an example from the Mughal Era and gifted to the British East India Library by Lord Dalhousie in 1853, the owners, past and distinctive features of the holy book are discussed from a sociological and historical framework, and sheds light on the first centuries of Islam.
