Assoc. Assoc. Prof. Sutay Yavuz, the faculty member of the Sociology Department, gave lecture in "Basic Population Analysis Techniques Training Program" organized by Population Association (Turkey) and SENEX-Aging Studies Association in Akdeniz University, Antalya on 23-24 January 2020.

Dr Erdem Sönmez from the History Department has published an article entitled "A Past to be Forgotten? Writing Ottoman History in Early Republican Turkey" in the British Journal of Middle Eastern Studies.

Dr Erdem Sönmez from the History Department delivered a talk entitled "'The Magic Touch of a Strong Hand': Mehmed Fuad Köprülü's Construction of 'Turkish History'" at Tarih Vakfı on 10 January 2020.
